Armand and Caesar. Portraits crossed by Jean and Jacques
April 26 to July 31, 2022
Art
7 Boulevard Dubouchage – Nice

Get in touch with two of the greatest artists of the second half of the 20th century…
Blending photographs by Jean Ferrero and original drawings by Jacques Sechot, centered around the work of Armand and César, the exhibition presents an intimate, admiring, even sarcastic yet always respectful vision of these two artists. You will never see them the same again. It was photography that brought Jean Ferrero into the world of art. His lack of aesthetic prejudice allowed him to catch a very early interest in artistic research, where the question of the produced object was at the center of the development of the work. His complicity in this matter with Armand and Cesar was very great, often in the origin of certain works; however, he did not forget the photograph. Due to his close proximity to these two artists, he could understand their artistic gestures or more intimate postures and postures throughout their lives.

It may seem a little surprising, even comical, that the clown decided to think about a sense of humor. Be that as it may, he indulges in reflections on the place, role, perception and use of humor in our modern society. You are offered a live creation of the humorous object of Lou Caravanho, not yet a comedian, but in the process of becoming. Lou, a super-sensitive character, does not hesitate to enter the hyperlinked world.
Come and meet this dynamic young entrepreneur who wants to register the Humor brand to develop his arts and entertainment facility that is fully inclusive and environmentally responsible.
Before launching his marketing campaign, he will definitely find a way not to offend anyone, please everyone and better sell his Humor™ product. Extensive program! Finally… It is certain that we will laugh… Or not…

Philippe Martin of the Compagnie du Quadrant Magique offers a theatrical reading cycle around the three great female figures from Homer’s Odyssey: Calypso, the nymphs. Nausicaa, princess. Circe, sorceress.
Three women, three islands, three trials, perhaps three loves… for Ulysses, when he returned to Ithaca for a long time.
Three women who reveal to Ulysses the cunning “Nobody”, his name is “Ulysses of Ithaca”, his name that speaks of who he was, who he is, who he will become.
